As previous Metaheuristics International Conferences, MIC 2007 will provide the international research community in metaheuristics the opportunity to get together, present research results and exchange ideas. An important goal of the conference should be not only to know what others do, but to foster new collaborations and joint projects. We, therefore, encourage the presentation of ongoing projects and recent results.

Moreover, the conference is intended as a forum for exchange of experience and results from practical projects, development of algorithms, and implementation of software. Presentations covering all topics in metaheuristics ranging from local search techniques to construction methods and population-based approaches, and including hybrids and complex search strategies, are welcome.
