About C.R.T.
Scientific Team
C.R.T. facilities are shared by some 50 to 60 associated faculty and researchers, 15 to 20 professionals (analysts, computer programmers, etc.) and over 100 master's and Doctorale students. The interests of these individuals are varied but complementary: some are engaged in theoretical research, while others focus on practical implementation. As no member of the C.R.T. has permanent status, the Centre's team is continually being renewed ; all members, however, share a commitment to scientific and technical excellence in research, development and training. Most members of this interdisciplinary team come from the following academic departments:
informatique et recherche opérationnelle and sciences économiques of Université de Montréal;
génie informatique, mathématiques et génie industriel and génie civil of École Polytechnique de Montréal;
- Management Sciences, Finance, Production and Operations Management and the Institute of Applied Economics of HEC Montréal.
The team also includes faculty, researchers and students from the departments of psychologie, démographie, géographie, médecine sociale et préventive and mathématiques et de statistique of Université de Montréal; the departments of génie électrique and génie mécanique of École Polytechnique de Montréal; the departments of management et technologie and of économie of Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) as well as from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR), Concordia University, McGill University and Bishop's University.
In fact, most Quebec university faculty members and researchers working in the area of quantitative methods applied to the analysis, planning and management of transportation systems are members of the Centre and supervise or participate in its research projects and scientific activities. Furthermore, the Centre has become over time a major focal point for master and doctoral students interested in transportation.
